Puck is seeking an Executive Sales Director to join our Commercial team on a full-time basis. This leader will serve as a trusted specialist, both internally and for our B2B advertising clients, and requires that the successful incumbent have knowledge and relationships with B2B companies across Technology, Finance, and other Professional Services. Puck’s Executive Sales Director, B2B will be responsible for maintaining and growing our roster of clients in these categories.

The Executive Sales Director will report to Puck’s Chief Operating Officer and will work closely with the rest of the Commercial team to evangelize the Puck brand and acquire new customers. You will also have exposure to the rest of Puck’s executive team and star talent, providing an unparalled opportunity to learn and develop inside of a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing new market segments, pinpointing high-potential opportunities, and executing strategies to capture them. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Foster and manage relationships with key clients and agency stakeholders to build best-in-class advertising partnerships with the world’s leading brands. You will be responsible for existing and new accounts in the B2B verticals, and you will have your own quota
  • Manage the full sales cycle: meet with decision-makers, understand campaign KPIs, negotiate and close new business, prove impact, and sell incremental campaigns
  • Own and grow a category list through existing Puck relationships, your own relationships, outreach, prospecting, networking, and research
  • Educate potential brand partners on Puck’s business story, elite journalists, and advertising products
  • Support the creation of updating of GTM materials, including ad product one-sheets
  • Forecast, track, and report on sales performance for your vertical
  • Contribute to an environment where we are constantly asking ourselves how we can improve our offerings for our paid consumer subscribers and our advertising clients. We believe that it’s everyone’s job to be creative business leaders, no matter your seniority level

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required 
  • Minimum of 12-15 years sales experience in digital media (including a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets)
  • Knowledge and existing relationships within the B2B verticals (finance, tech, law, consulting, and others) 
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, Keynote, Google Slides
  • Passion for Puck’s mission and our content
  • Startup experience a plus

  • The salary hiring range for this position is $290,000 - $330,000 (OTE), but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
